This release adds the Web Face View as an official embedded face view in all SDKs. Built on top of the new Bridge Protocol 2.0, the Web Face gives vAtom creators greater freedom and flexibility in both the content and behavior of their faces. Moreover, Web Faces are cross-platform meaning only a single code base has to be maintained.
Accompanying the update to the SDKs is the release of the Web Face SDK 2.0. This SDK allows Web Face developers to quickly get up and running with building Web Faces — specifically those which need to interact with the BLOCKv platform or communicate with the Viewer. Version 2.0 also provides a simpler, more concise, and secure API coupled with improved documentation. With all this, vAtom creators can now take their Web Face experiences to the next level!
On Android, callable response handlers have been removed in favour of RxJava 2.
This release ships with the 3D Face View in the Sample app and the Image Layered Face View embedded in the SDKs.
The 3D face allows you to create vAtoms that are displayed as 3D objects. 3D objects can have animations, and can change depending on certain conditions, such as when the user taps it.
This release ships with the embedded Image Policy face view.
This release ships with the embedded Image Progress face view.
With this release, there is an entirely new set of open source SDKs for iOS, Android and Web.
The main improvement is the new Face Module which offers developers an easy way to visualize vAtoms (using Faces), and to create Faces for other developers to use.
The SDKs will ship with the officially supported ImageFace with more to follow in the coming weeks. This module will now allow 3rd party developers to create apps faster than before.
